Existing businesses are likewise exploring ways to leverage quantum technology to enhance their operations in the future. In Europe, several organizations have been formed to represent the interests of companies working in quantum technology and to foster collaboration within this field.

European Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC)

Europe’s largest quantum industry association is a not-for-profit industry association dedicated to the growth of the quantum technology sector and making Europe a global market leader. It´s members – large enterprises, SMEs and start-ups, investors, research and technology organizations, and other associations – work together to inform policies, shape the foundations of the industry, boost the European industry’s competitiveness, and bring value to Europe, its businesses, and its citizens.

Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU)

Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) aims to bolster Europe’s semiconductor industry by fostering collaboration between the EU, member states, and the private sector.

Focused on research, innovation, and manufacturing, Chips JU seeks to position Europe as a leader in semiconductor technology, enhance digital capacity, and address global challenges such as sustainability.

The initiative aligns with European policy goals to ensure the continent’s technological and industrial leadership.

QuantEra 

QuantERA is a leading European network of Research Funding Organisations (RFOs), which supports and subsidises the development of Quantum Technologies. Having put science and technology at its very heart, the QuantERA Consortium invests in excellent Research and Innovation – and the people who make it happen.

BDVA –  Big Data Value Association

BDVA is an industry-driven research and innovation organization with a mission to develop an innovation ecosystem that enables the data-driven and AI-enabled digital transformation of the economy and society in Europe.

Digital Catapult (UK) 

Digital Catapult is a deep tech innovation organization that supports quantum tech companies and start-ups in the UK but works with EU companies. Focus on the commercialization of quantum technologies and project-based collaboration.

The Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) 

The Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) is a consortium of stakeholders that aims to enable and grow the quantum industry. QED-C participants are working together to identify gaps in technology, standards, and workforce and to address those gaps through collaboration.
